Behavioral Health Care
MHN's behavioral health plans give your employees access to a full range of mental health and substance use disorder services from expert staff and providers they can trust.
Behavioral health plans can be purchased alone or integrated with a Health Net medical plan. While services and benefits can be tailored to specific customer requirements (within Federal Parity guidelines), our behavioral health care programs may include:
- Sessions with a counselor, therapist, psychologist or psychiatrist
- Treatment in a hospital or residential facility, including partial hospitalization and residential treatment programs
- Treatment follow-up and aftercare
- Crisis intervention available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
Care Management
We facilitate the best possible clinical outcomes for our members by working with providers to shape treatment plans that adhere to national standards. All MHN care managers are degreed and licensed clinicians and our care management program meets accepted national standards. Through care management, we ensure that:
- Patients receive the appropriate care, in the appropriate setting
- Patients receive appropriate follow-up treatment after release from the hospital or program
- Treatment resources are managed to facilitate high-quality and cost-effective care
- Utilization management and reporting protocols are followed
